Two Teens Struck by SUV Near Lincoln High School

Two Lincoln High School students on their way to school about 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 were hit by an SUV at the intersection of Ocean Parkway and West Street and taken to area hospitals, police said.

The driver of the green Ford Explorer, 54-year-old Oliver Black, was arrested at the scene on charges of vehicular assault, driving with a suspended license, and other charges.

The students, Elizabeth Lopez and Brian Rosario, both 17, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

    I am glad that the driver got punishment for hurting students. The drivers should be aware that students are walking in the intersection because there is school.
